Hurricanes topic at luncheon
Stewart Title, Fine Properties and Town & Country/Memorial, hosted its inaugural “Don’t Get Rocked by a Hurricane” luncheon on June 20, featuring Frank Billingsley, chief meterologist of KPRC Channel 2; Mike Brubaker of Brubaker and Associates; and Leash Yu of Agency Yu.
With the arrival of hurricane season and so many communities still reeling from Hurricane Harvey, 60-plus Houston Realtors packed The Palm to hear about property appraisals and flood insurance, especially with the new regulations that were passed by the city, which take effect Sept. 1. Billingsley gave some insight on what we can expect of this hurricane season and how the weather patterns have changed over the years.
“There was not an empty seat in the house as our Realtors, many of them who specialize in the luxury market, found the discussions very informative,” said Roseann Rogers, sales manager, Stewart Title. “Elizabeth Rankin-Rice of Cornerstone Home Lending, Shane Dodson of Bionic Emergency Services, and Ali Gilan of Property Tax Services Inc. were also instrumental in the success of the event with their generous sponsorships.”
Rogers said more hurricane presentations are scheduled: Aug. 1 (Houston), Aug. 7 (TheWoodlands) and Aug. 9 (Fort Bend County).
