Two children, ages 1 and 8, found dead in their father’s apartment
Police are looking for 61-year-old man after youths were discovered stabbed on bed
Sabine Ntongo dropped off her 1-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy with their father, Jean Pierre Ndossoka, for visitation at his southwest Houston apartment Saturday afternoon.
Around 3:30 p.m., police said she received a horrifying call.
“He called her and told her he killed her kids,” Houston Police Department Assistant Chief Wendy Baimbridge said.
The two children were found stabbed to death on a bed inside their father’s southwest Houston apartment in the 10900 block of Fondren in southwest Houston on Saturday afternoon, prompting a police search for the 61year-old man.
The couple had been married for six years and recently separated, police said.
Sabine Ntongo’s nephew, 28year-old Danida Sita, rushed over to the apartment when his mother told him what happened. He thought she was joking.
“It was a crime committed out of anger and bitter, pure hatred,” Sita said.
Sita’s sister, Denicia Mouelet, 22, said the slain girl is named after her.
“It feels like a dream,” she said.
Police do not yet know if the suspect has a criminal history. According to Harris County District Clerk records, he had no prior criminal history in the county and no matters in family or civil court.
Police were searching Saturday night for Ndossoka’s black 2008 Nissan Titan. Police said the license plate is JGY0351.
