InterLinc Mortgage Services announced that Gene F. Thompson III, who has served as president since 2010, is now the chief operating officer. A 20-year veteran of the mortgage lending industry, Gene has been with InterLinc since 2007, where he has served as both executive VP and president.
A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a BBA in accounting, Thompson has been the recipient of several industry awards, including the Texas S.T.A.R. Award, Mortgage Industry Professional of the Year. He is a member of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association.
Cecil Weeks has joined Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty as a Realtor associate. Weeks is a graduate of Penn State University and began his career in New York City with Avon Products in their logistics division. In 2011, he made the decision to enter the world of real estate at the Manhattan brokerage of Douglas Elliman.
That same year, Weeks was named “Rookie of the Year.” Now, after 12 years in New York, Weeks has returned to his hometown to continue his career in real estate. Weeks will be working from the Galleria office. Lea Garcia has joined the Champions sales office of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene as an agent where she will represent buyers and sellers in the neighborhoods of Champions.
Garcia will guide buyers and sellers every step of the way, from staging listings and hosting open houses to closing.
Prior to joining Gary Greene, Garcia worked in retail as a product manager, where she managed backroom associates as well as sales associates. Her time working in retail allowed her to gain invaluable skills in sales, relationship building, and customer service.
Additionally, her ability to speak fluent Spanish allows her to cater to Houston’s Spanish-speaking community.
