On Friday, August 3, 2018, Radiann Martha Tyson, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 86 surrounded by her family. Radiann was born September 13, 1931, in Shorewood, Wisconsin to Frank and Valarie Bruckwick. She is predecease­d by her parents and her three siblings, Mrs. John E. Cannon, Mr. Richard Bruckwick and Mr. James Bruckwick. She graduated in 1953 from Northweste­rn University in Evanston, Illinois. On June 28, 1958, she married Frederick Moore Tyson Sr. They raised two children, Julianne Tyson Echols (Mont) and Frederick “Ty” Moore Tyson, Jr. (Nectar). Radiann has six grandchild­ren, Courtney Echols Boudreaux (Austin), Samantha Tyson Bowyer (John), Ashley Echols Lucas (Daniel), Mont “Guy” Sandels Echols IV, Thomas Frederick Echols and Andrew Frederick-Edmund Tyson. She also has four greatgrand­children, Christophe­r Bowyer, Claire Bowyer, Harper Bowyer and Caroline Anne Boudreaux. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Fred, two children, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren and many nieces and nephews.

Radiann was a theater major at Northweste­rn and loved acting, singing and puppets. She also had a love for dogs, miniature schnauzers in particular, and was President of the Humane Society in Hinsdale, Illinois. She is a Chi Omega and proud that her daughter and two granddaugh­ters choose Chi Omega as well. She was a member of the Service League of Chicago, Chicago Lyric Opera, various school organizati­ons and she contribute­d to, and was active with, many philanthro­pic organizati­ons. She loved to travel and play tennis. She was known for her entertaini­ng, her infectious smile and her kind and compassion­ate spirit.

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church located at 7801 Bay Branch Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, 77382. Flowers may be sent to St. Anthony of Padua.
