Bobbie Jean Mueller, age 86, of Houston, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, the 1st of September 2018. She was born on the 18th of January 1932, to Henry Carl and Alma Lucille Meier, she was a 1949 graduate of John H. Reagan High School and a member of the National Honor Society. She worked as an executive secretary at Peden Iron and Steel where she met her husband, Raoul Mueller, Jr.

Bobbie and Raoul married in 1953 and made their home in Corpus Christi, Texas for the next twenty-three years. Bobbie was an active member of the Episcopal Church, Garden Club, and bridge player. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, needle work, crafts, and flower arranging. She was well known for her exceptiona­l cooking and love for entertaini­ng, hosting many exciting and memorable parties for family and friends where fun was had by all.

During the school year, Bobbie could be found volunteeri­ng in her daughter’s classrooms and sewing amazing costumes for school plays, Halloween, and ballet recitals. Summers were spent vacationin­g with numerous cousins and friends gathering in Rockport, Texas, boiling crabs and shrimp, playing games, sharing endless laughter, and pier fishing for trout in the wee hours of the morning.

When the family moved back to Houston, Bobbie remained active in her church and civic clubs. She enjoyed sharing her many talents, devoting countless hours to volunteeri­ng. Not being a big fan of spare time, she became an enthusiast­ic employee of the Greater Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau, where she worked for more than fifteen years.

Bobbie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmothe­r, and friend. She was dearly loved by all who knew her. Her positive outlook on life, her endless generosity, her love for style and beauty, and most of all, her presence with her family, will be greatly missed.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband, Raoul Mueller, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Maxine Woelfel of Houston, TX; her children, Brenda (John) Helmandoll­ar of Wichita KS, Debra (Paul) Luckey of Houston, TX; her grandchild­ren April Sue Helmandoll­ar, Daniel Raoul Helmandoll­ar, Amanda Jeanne Luckey, and Paul James Luckey, Jr.

The family wishes to give heartfelt thanks to Eden Garner for her dedicated, compassion­ate, cheerful and loving care of their Mother.

The memorial service is to be conducted at half past eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 10th of September, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where The Rev. David W. Price, Associate Rector at St. Francis Episcopal Church, is to officiate. Immediatel­y following the service, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent grand foyer.

In lieu of customary remembranc­es, memorial contributi­ons may be directed to the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, 4501 Woodway Drive, Houston, Texas 77024.
