Marilyn Curtis Coleman Daniels Runyon was preceded in death by her parents Betty and Harrison Curtis and step mother Mary Curtis. She was married to Bill Coleman from June 1954 to Nov. 1959. She was married to Dennis Daniels from January 1967 to October 1967, when he was killed in Vietnam. She is survived by her loving husband Jerry.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Karen Coleman Rubendall and husband Ricky; son, Dennis Daniels Jr. and wife Lisa; and son Eric Runyon and wife Charlotte.

The following are her grandchild­ren, Renee Rubendall Webber and husband Perry, Savannah Rubendall, Luke Daniels, Trey Daniels, Hunter Runyon, Avery Runyon, and step-grandchild­ren Molly Pierce and Megan Pierce.

Surivors include Marilyn’s siblings, Bill Curtis and wife Barbara of Durham, NC, , Beverly Curtis Clark of Savannah, GA, Harriet Curtis Belk and husband BV of Charlotte, NC; sister in law Margaret Daniels Reese and husband Phillip of Atlanta, GA.

Marilyn and Jerry have been members of Cypress United Methodist Church for 19 years. They have so many dear friends at Cypress and wish to thank all of them for all the prayers, cards, gifts, phone calls, and meals over the past year as Marilyn and Jerry fought her liver cancer. All the care of so many families, churches and friends and even strangers helped Marilyn and Jerry to remain strong in their faith.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to cancer research, The 100 Club, or the Cypress U.M. Church for repairs and maintenanc­e, or Vitas Hospice Care.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Cypress U.M. Church for anyone wishing to join the family in a celebratio­n of Marilyn’s life. A graveside service will be held for the immediate family at a later date.
