Hannah McNair and her husband, Cal, the Texans’ chief operating officer, support too many charitable organizations to count. Influenced by their own children, the couple gravitates toward causes that improve the lives of future generations: DePelchin Children’s Center, Project 88, Bo’s Place, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Children’s Assessment Center, Dec My Room and Best Buddies top their ever-growing list.

When McNair recently chaired a benefit for Bo’s Place, which provides support to those who have lost a loved one, she shared how the organization had helped lift her family during a tough time. After being displaced by Hurricane Harvey, the McNairs and their children mourned the loss of a newborn, Jackson, last October.

The crowd fell silent as she offered her testimonial. “I sat with five other mothers who all left the hospital with empty arms. As we all told our story with tears flowing, I felt normal,” she said. “All of the emotions I was hiding from the outside world were acknowledged and recognized by women just like me. The anger, the guilt, the sadness... we were kindred spirits.”

Ahead of co-chairing a very special evening at Steak 48 for March of Dimes with Cal this month, Hannah, expectant mother and the Texans’ biggest cheerleader, shares her must-dos and musthaves.
