ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS

RHP Matt Koch will start on Tuesday against the Dodgers.

The 27-year-old pitched four scoreless innings, striking out seven, against the Cubs on Wednesday. He’s got a 4.26 ERA in 18 appearances, including 13 starts, this season.

CHICAGO WHITE SOX

Manager Rick Renteria said he’s not ruling out 1B Jose Abreu (thigh) not making it back this season.

“He’s got a pretty significant healing process he’s got going on with that thigh right now,” Renteria said.

Abreu was hospitalized earlier this week with a serious infection in his right thigh, with just nine games left in the season.

MINNESOTA TWINS

2B Logan Forsythe (knee) took “a good step forward” on Saturday, manager Paul Molitor said.

Forsythe remained out of the lineup in Oakland. Forsythe has been a good source of on-base ability for the team since he was acquired at the trade deadline, batting .274/.363/.312 in 44 games.

PITTSBURGH PIRATES

RHP Joe Musgrove won’t pitch again in 2018 due to right side abdominal discomfort.

Musgrove was recently diagnosed with a stress reaction on the front of his pelvic bone and an abdominal wall muscle strain.

The 25-year-old was 6-9 with a 4.06 ERA across 19 games. RHP Nick Kingham will start Sunday against the Brewers.

ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

INF Kolten Wong was held out of the lineup as a precautionary measure on Saturday. He left Friday’s game with a sore hamstring and is listed as day-to-day.

“(He’s) in pretty good shape,” manager Mike Shildt said.

WASHINGTON NATIONALS

OF Adam Eaton (sore and stiff left knee) was held out of the starting lineup for the fifth time in six games on Saturday against the Mets.
