Falltastic carved pumpkins are coming to Katy’s Cane Island

-

Katy’s Cane Island will celebrate the most falltastic time of year in October when the community of new homes presents a free, open-to-the-public collection of masterfully carved, oversized pumpkins in each of its showcase models.

The fun kicks off with Pumpkin-Palooza on Saturday, Oct. 13, when Cane Island presents live carving demonstrations by Sean Fitzpatrick of Boston, one of the nation’s foremost pumpkin artists, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Fitzpatrick’s carved pumpkins have appeared on NBC’s Today Show, The Talk on CBS and in Times Square’s Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. Free and open to the public, the family event in Cane Island’s Amenity Village also will offer food truck cuisine available for purchase, music and bounce houses.

Fitzpatrick’s collection of carved masterpieces will then be displayed in Cane Island’s 15 brand-new model homes Oct. 14-31, with free admission daily.

Ideal for pre-Halloween photos and standing about 2 feet tall, the one-of-a-kind, carved works are expected to range from the creepy and spooky to the hilarious and absolutely outrageous.

While at the Falltastic celebration, visitors can stop by Cane Island’s Welcome Center to register for weekly $250 gift card drawings.

No purchase is necessary. Entry forms are readily available, and each entry has an equal chance of winning.
