Highland sells GHBA Benefit home in Balmoral
Highland Homes, one of two builders constructing a Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit home in 2018, recently sold their home in the new community of Balmoral, a Land Tejas development.
Highlands’ loyal vendors, suppliers and trades donated materials and labor to ensure the home would be sold at a profit that would go to two Houston area charities. The Benefit Homes Project beneficiaries are HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.
Each year two homes are built for this GHBA charity fundraiser with donated land, construction management, materials, labor and services by GHBA members. These homes are constructed with upgrade materials and features and are sold at market value. Since the project began 38 years ago, over $10 million has been raised.
Highland Homes built their 2,250-square-foot Windemere Plan. Vendor companies who donated their materials or services included: Action Gypsum, Allied Concrete, All Points Survey, Anchor Drywall, Atak Pest Control, Big Tex, BMC, Broan, Builders Post Tension, Burgess Construction, CJ Builders Service, D&E Door, Drain Rite Gutters, Empire Contracting, Escobar Landscaping and Eyeon Integrated Systems.
This is the 16th lot that Land Tejas has donated to the Benefit Homes Project. The second Benefit Home also recently sold. It was built by Taylor Morrison/Darling Homes in the community of Grand Vista. Taylor Morrison/Darling Homes built their Rosebay plan.
