Albert F. Murphy, 90 of Pasadena Texas passed away on December 11, 2018. Born June 14, 1928 in Wills Point, Van Zandt County, Texas, he was the son of the late Albert Lee and Riete Mae Murphy.

Albert joined the Army as a young man and served his country for a number of years. Albert began a long career with Eastern Airlines where he retired after 30 years. Albert loved to stay busy and so after retirement he joined the Army Corp of Engineers. Albert had a passion for blue grass music and often travelled to attend festivals. He spent time as an amateur radio operator and considered himself a “radio ham”.

Albert is survived by his brother, Richard and his wife Kelly of Ashboro, North Carolina; sisters, Barbara and her husband Michael of New Caney, Texas and Elizabeth and her husband Donny of Houston, Texas.

He is also survived by his brother in law and friend Vance Ham as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife Mary and stepchildr­en Bob and Becky.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505. Albert’s Celebratio­n of Life will follow on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Interment Grand View Memorial Park.
