DPIS Engineering charity fundraiser benefits HomeAid
For the fourth consecutive year, HomeAid Houston has been the beneficiary of the DPIS Engineering charity crawfish boil called “Pinchin’ Tails for HomeAid Houston.” The event raised $30,000 for HomeAid’s mission, “to build new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach.”
A tornado and heavy rain early in the evening did not spoil the fun or the recipes for boiled crawfish, jambalaya, etouffee and cocktail sauce that was enjoyed by more than 1,300 attendees.
One-plus ton of crawfish was consumed in addition to hot dogs, fajitas, hamburgers, desserts and beverages. Entertainment included a live band and numerous family-friendly games.
“The DPIS Pinchin’ Tails for HomeAid event is becoming legendary for its family fun and out-of-thisworld flavors,” said Patrick Mahan, president of HomeAid Houston. “HomeAid is honored to be selected as the beneficiary for the past four years and we give a big thank-you to DPIS, Brannon King, the event chairman, his assistants, all of the sponsors, cooking teams and volunteers who made it so successful.”
