Smith guides buyers, sellers in positive market

The real estate industry is in a good position right now. Interest rates have gone down despite prediction­s of them rising. It is a good market for both buyers and sellers.

“It is a good time for buyers and sellers, especially with interest rates being at or below 4 percent. Buyers are able to afford more home, and sellers are able to attract multiple buyers, in some cases,” said Jill Smith, a Realtor with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene.

Smith’s focus areas are northwest Houston, Cypress, Katy, Tomball, and Jersey Village.

“We sell a lot of homes in these areas, so we are very knowledgea­ble about the different subdivisio­ns, and schools,” Smith said.

Smith and her team live in their focus area, and their clients appreciate working with them as they are the local experts.

Smith has lived in Houston most of her life. After she graduated from Sam Houston in 1989, she moved to Houston. She has lived in the Cypress area for 11 years and is 10 minutes from her office.

“I started my career in real estate in 2009 after being leaving a pharmaceut­ical company. I love what I do and am thankful I became a Realtor,” Smith said.

Smith had bought and sold several houses before entering real estate, and she and her husband had discusses going into the industry.

For Smith though, an opportunit­y presented itself, and she has not looked back.

Prior to real estate, Smith worked in sales for close to two decades, and brought many skills and talents to the table to benefit her clients today. For example, in her previous positions, she worked with different personalit­ies and those from different back grounds. Today, her clients are also diverse, which she enjoys.

Smith and her team have won many awards. In 2018 The Jill Smith Team ranked No. 1 among all Better Homes and Gardens Gary Greene agents in Houston, No. 3 among all Better Homes and Gardens agents nationwide, and others.

Smith also holds several designatio­ns, such as Master Certified Negotiatio­n Expert and Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, to ensure her clients receive the best possible service.

Smith is known for always having the best interest of her clients at heart and works hard to get the best price for her sellers and buyers.

“Our goal on the Jill Smith Team is to make clients for life. As a result of our passion for our clients and building relationsh­ips, we receive many referrals from past clients and have many returning clients. We love what we do, and clients say it shows,” Smith said.
