Chesmar completes GHBA Benefit home in NorthGrove

-

Within the north Houston area wooded landscape, NorthGrove — a Toll Brothers development — is the site for a newly completed Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA), Benefit home. This home has been constructed with a broad array of amenities and upgrades that were donated by GHBA members. Proceeds from the sale of the home will benefit two local charities — Operation Finally Home and HomeAid Houston.

Chesmar Homes’ 2,746-square-foot Mesquite plan is a two-story design featuring four bedrooms with a fifth bedroom/study option, three full baths, walk-in closets, a game room, an island kitchen and a twostory open family room off the kitchen.

“This design offers so much variety and is packed with detailing and amenities that help make it a showplace,” said John Williams, president of GHBA. “The home is completed now and open for visitors to take a tour. The combination of this open floor plan, expansive windows and green vistas, will appeal to anyone who enjoys space and beauty.”

Materials, labor and services that are donated by suppliers and vendors are key to the success of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit Homes Project, GHBA’s 39-year-old charity fundraiser. This year, Chesmar Homes has committed to building its sixth Benefit Home on a lot donated by Toll Brothers in NorthGrove. Prior to the groundbreaking of their Mesquite plan, their Benefit home already received commitments from more than 70 vendors.

A Benefit home relies on these donations so it can be built with minimal cost. The homes are loaded with upgrades and amenities and are sold at market value. Since the fundraiser began, approximately $12 million has been raised.

Vendors and suppliers who have committed their donations include PTS Inc., Allpoints Surveying, Ellen Lighting & Hardware, Builders Post-Tension, PPG Paints, Lewis & Partners, Action Landscaping, Trus Joist/Weyerhaeuser, Meridian Brick, 1st Infinity, James Hardie, Surface Systems, Emerald Masonary, AHI Supply, Hurricane Construction and Hart Lumber, Austin Windstorm, MTW Pipeworks, GE Appliances, Lanehart Electric, Builders First Source and All About Concrete.

NorthGrove is located off FM 2978 in Magnolia, in southern Montgomery County. The community is conveniently located within proximity to The Woodlands while offering a more intimate small town feel. It is also convenient to major employers, shopping centers, al fresco dining, and cultural centers.
