Meridiana brings fishing, kayaking to new family park

-

Just in time for summer, Meridiana will soon open its newest family experience, the Park at Adventure Lake, a lush setting with shaded playground and breathtaking lake, roughly the size of 17 football fields, for catch-and-release fishing, kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding.

Two acres of green space situated at the lake’s midpoint will offer a sprawling playground under a large canopy, where children can enjoy a variety of playground experiences.

The park space, connected by floating bridge to more than a mile of hikeand-bike trails, also will feature a boulder play field for rock climbing and exploration, an open play area and ample seating.

Scheduled to open in July, Meridiana’s Park at Adventure Lake is expected to become another signature park experience in the fast-growing community minutes south of Pearland on Texas 288.

Meridiana also is home to Iowa Colony City Park, 11 acres of tree-lined play space adjacent to the community’s Oasis Village with quadplex basketball court, grass volleyball courts, central lawn and tree-lined walking trail. Later this year, Meridiana will open Explorer’s Park, another neighborhood park with climbers, slides, swings and other play equipment — all under a shaded canopy — with tree-lined green space large enough for soccer, touch football and other group activities.

The 2017-2018 GHBA Community of the Year, Meridiana presents new luxury homes from the low $200,000s to the $600,000s amidst rolling green spaces, tranquil waterfront settings and resort-style amenities.

To reach Meridiana and its Oasis Village Welcome Center, take the Meridiana Parkway exit from Texas 288, south of Pearland, heading north or south. Heading south on Texas 288, take the parkway exit and turn left onto the overpass into Meridiana. Those heading north on Texas 288 can take the parkway exit and turn right into the community.
