Angels end skid; Mets win again

BOSTON — Mike Trout hit the first home run of his career at Fenway Park and the Los Angeles Angels snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 12-4 rout of the Boston Red Sox on Saturday.

Justin Upton added a three-run homer in the first inning.

With his 428-foot drive over the Green Monster in the sixth inning, Trout has homered in every American League ballpark. He had played 21 games in Boston without connecting.

METS 4, NATIONALS 3: Luis Guillorme hit his first big league homer — a tying shot leading off the eighth — J.D. Davis followed with a go-ahead sacrifice fly and host New York won its eighth straight game. Juan Soto hit a pair of home runs for the Nationals.

REDS 10, CUBS 1: Aristides Aquino hit solo home runs in each of his first three at bats for host Cincinnati. Aquino has hit seven homers in his first 10 games, tying the big league mark set by Trevor Story in 2016.

BLUE JAYS 5, YANKEES 4: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a go-ahead, two-run triple in the seventh inning and host Toronto rallied to hand New York its second straight loss.

DODGERS 4, DIAMONDBAC­KS 0: Kenta Maeda allowed three hits over seven scoreless innings and Max Muncy homered as Los Angeles won at home.

BREWERS 3, RANGERS 2: Adrian Houser struck out a career-high 10 and rookie Keston Hiura hit his 14th home run as host Milwaukee won its fifth straight.

WHITE SOX 3, ATHLETICS 2: Reynaldo López pitched 61⁄3 scoreless innings and Eloy Jiménez hit his 19th home run as host Chicago beat Oakland.

CARDINALS 3, PIRATES 1: Adam Wainwright one run in six innings as St. Louis won at home. The righhander gave up six hits and struck out eight. Carlos Martinez recorded his 12th save.

MARLINS 7, BRAVES 6 (10): Martin Prado’s sacrifice fly with one out in the tenth inning plated Harold Ramirez with the winning run as Miami won at home.

TWINS 4, INDIANS 1: Jake Odorizzi pitched 52⁄3 scoreless innings and Max Kepler hit his 32nd homer as Minnesota won at home.

RAYS 5, MARINERS 4: Mike Zunino hit a three-run homer as Tampa Bay edged host Seattle.

PADRES 8, ROCKIES 5: Manuel Margot broke a tie game with a two-run home run in the eighth inning to lift host San Diego over Colorado. Hunter Renfroe contribute­d three hits and scored four runs for the Padres. GIANTS 4, PHILLIES 3: Jeff Samardzija pitched eight innings of two-hit ball, Evan Longoria and Kevin Pillar homered, and San Francisco won at home. Samardzija (9-9) is 2-0 with a 1.49 ERA over his last four starts. ROYALS 7, TIGERS 0: Mike Montgomery struck out a career-high 12 in seven innings as Kansas City won at Detroit.
