Dodson brings many skills to benefit clients
It is impossible to overestimate the value of a good agent.
“After 14 years in real estate and closing hundreds of transactions, I have witnessed many situations where if it had not been for an experienced and knowledgeable agent, the transaction would have gone unfavorably, and the client’s goal would not have been met,” said Bill Dodson a Realtor with John Daugherty, Realtors.
Dodson brings not only experience and knowledge to the table, but much more.
Prior to real estate, Dodson was in the finance arena with major companies. He also had a home-building company.
“My clients appreciate the discipline my corporate background brings to my real estate business. Having negotiated billions of dollars of financial transactions, I understand the nuances of legal contracts and can help my clients avoid the pitfalls that can arise,” Dodson said.
With the home-building company, Dodson designed and built homes for clients, and himself and his partner. So, he is well-acquainted with all aspects of a home and can advise clients on remodeling or renovations and more.
He also has lived in the inner Loop for close to four decades, in areas such as Montrose, Upper Kirby, Rice University, Southampton, and others. So, he knows the areas well.
Dodson does not have a focus area, yet many of his clients are interested in the inner Loop. He also has clients interested in Memorial, Sugar Land, Pearland, The Woodlands and other outlying areas. He goes where his clients are interested.
“It’s a great time to buy a house. Mortgage rates are incredibly low. We also have more inventory than past years, so buyers have choices,” Dodson said.
Dodson hails from El Paso, and obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
“I moved to Houston for a job after graduate school, thinking I’d be here for a couple of years. But I fell in love with the city and stayed. I love the friendliness, cultural diversity, and vibrant arts and restaurant scene,” Dodson said.
