The transaction from purchase to closing of the M/I Homes Benefit Homes Project home in Bridgeland was seamless as the buyers, Jeremy and Cathlene Webb, signed officially on the dotted line at the title offices at M/I Homes last week.

“We were so delighted when we found out that by us purchasing this home, two local charities would be benefitting,” said Jeremy. “HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home are serving the community by helping so many less fortunate. Buying a home we love allowed us to be a part of that giving-back process.”

M/I Homes partnered with Bridgeland and the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit Homes Project to build M/I Homes’ Roseville Plan. Each year two to three homes are built for the project with donated land, construction management, materials, labor and services by GHBA members.

These homes are constructed with upgrade materials and features and are sold at market value. Since the project began 39 years ago, over $11 million has been raised.

“M/I Homes has been honored to be a part of the Benefit Homes Project in 2019 in partnership with Bridgeland/Howard Hughes and the GBHA,” said Kathy Delgado, vice president of sales and marketing. Knowing that the proceeds from the sale to the Webb family will go toward Operation Finally Home and HomeAid Houston, is very humbling.”

This is the second time M/I Homes has built a Benefit home and it is Howard

Hughes’ sixth donated lot in Bridgeland.

Bridgeland is an 11,400-acre masterplanned community located in Cypress. The community is consistently ranked one of the top-selling master planned communities in Texas throughout its 12-year history.

The award-winning development offers a wide variety of housing options and extensive outdoor amenities, with a strong emphasis on conserving and enhancing the natural environment.

Bridgeland has over 3,000 acres dedicated to lakes, trails and parks, and offers a resort-style pool, disc-golf course, stocked lakes and complimentary use of kayaks, paddleboats and other recreational equipment for residents.

A second Benefit home is currently under construction in Sierra Vista, a Land Tejas community.

HistoryMaker Homes is bulding the home and Land Tejas donated the lot.
