Lately: The Rockets split the first two of a four-game road trip, winning in Washington and losing in Brooklyn. The Heat swept consecutiv­e games against the Hawks.

Scouting the Rockets: The Rockets rank first in the NBA offensivel­y and 29th defensivel­y. … The Rockets have lost 12 of their previous 16 games in Miami but have won three of four against the Heat in the past two seasons. … Guard Russell Westbrook’s 11.4 points scored per game in the fourth quarter rank second in the NBA, trailing only Portland’s Damian Lillard. Westbrook’s 66.7 percent shooting in the fourth leads the top 15 fourth-quarter scorers in the NBA. … James Harden has had two games attempting 15 3-pointers without making more than two, having done that only one other time in his career. Scouting the Heat: The Heat have won their two home games this season by an average of 17 points. … The Heat rank seventh in defense, with opponents making just 26 percent of their 3s, the best 3-point percentage defense in the NBA. … The Heat are tied for third in steals per game, averaging 9.2. … Miami’s comeback from a 21-point deficit to beat the Bucks in Milwaukee was their largest since Nov. 1, 2015 when they rallied from down 15 to beat the Rockets. … Kendrick Nunn, who scored 40 points against the Rockets in the preseason, has scored 112 points this season, the most through five games for an undrafted rookie in NBA history. He is the first rookie to score at least 100 points through five games since Kevin Durant in 2007. Nunn is averaging 22.4 points while making 51.8 percent of his shots, 48.4 percent of his 3-pointers. … Third-year forward Bam Adebayo, playing 9.3 minutes more than last season, is averaging career highs in points, rebounds, blocked shots and assists.

Heat — forward KZ Okpala (left Achilles tendinitis) and forward/guard Derrick Jones Jr. (left groin strain) are out. Forward Jimmy Butler (left foot bruise) and guard Justise Winslow (lower back stiffness) are questionab­le.
