Shelley Green enjoys working with multiple generations of clients

- By Rebecca Maitland

Shelley Green, a Realtor with Beth Wolff Realtors Real Living, has been in real estate for over three decades. She has seen the market and economy fluctuate and has continue to be successful in helping her clients find the home that meets their goals and dreams.

“Today, I am working with the adult children of clients I have helped in the past. This is an honor and let’s me know how long I have been working in this industry that I love,” Green said.

Prior to real estate, Green, who holds a master’s degree in communications from Boston University and bachelor’s from University of Texas, was the public relations director for several companies. She just happened to meet Beth Wolff at a fundraiser, and they joined forces. Green began handling marketing for Beth Wolff Realtors.

“I did not know a lot about real estate then, but

I learned fast. After a few years, Beth encouraged me to become a Realtor. She said with my energy, being a people person, my flexibility, I knew Houston since I’m a native, and with all of my skills, she thought I’d be a good Realtor. SoI obtained my license and have never looked back. I sincerely enjoy working with buyers and sellers,” Green said.

One way Green keeps her energy up is she stays active. She dances every morning at 7:30 and has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She also sits on boards of directors, contributing to the city she loves.

In the past 30 years, Green has seen many changes in the industry, but one thing has stayed the same.

“Beth Wolff Realtors has always been service driven, providing top-notch customer service to clients. So, even though technology, contracts, and the way people communicate have changed, the one thing that has not changed is we remain service and client driven,” Green said.

Green grew up in central Houston, so she enjoys working with clients in the close-in neighborhoods such as downtown, Midtown, Upper Kirby, Galleria, Medical Center, and surrounding areas including Memorial, Meyerland, etc.

“I have lived in highrises since my children were young and love the carefree lifestyle. There is no maintenance, they park my car, it is safe and secure, and the amenities are great. High-rises are also neighborhoods; they are just vertical. So, many of my clients are interested in high-rise living and I thoroughly enjoy showing all the new high-rises and mid-rises Houston now offers,” Green said.
