The Venezuelan singer and actor is known for his romantic ballads. He’s recently been a coach on internatio­nal versions of “The Voice.”

The Spanish sex symbol, who sings in English and Spanish, can still melt hearts today. His son took the rodeo reins in later years.

RICK TREVIÑO | 1996-98

The bilingual country singer hails from Austin and took the rodeo stage three times. His hit “Just Enough Rope” was recorded in English and Spanish.

ENRIQUE IGLESIAS | 1999, 2000, 2004, 2012

The son also rises. Iglesias’ frenetic shows forced rodeo organizers to place security guards around the floor after fans jumped the rails and chased Iglesias as he rode out of the stadium.

JUANES | 2002

Juanes hadn’t even released signature hit “La Camisa Negra” when he performed at the rodeo. Talk about foresight. He has gone on to become a huge star.

Dale! Mr. Worldwide hosted the city’s biggest happy hour three times. The biggest girls’ night out ever.

J BALVIN | 2018

The first reggaeton performer at RodeoHoust­on was the adventurou­s J Balvin, who combines music and fashion with his modern take on the genre.

PRINCE ROYCE | 2019

Bachata heartthrob Prince Royce was the first in his genre to play RodeoHoust­on. He paid tribute to rodeo great Selena with a sweet rendition of “No Me Queda Mas.”
