Sarah Elizabeth Heath Brents Weds David William Dennis

Sarah Elizabeth Heath Brents and David William Dennis were united in marriage on December 7, 2019 at First Presbyteri­an Church, Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Rev. Dr. Andrew Stepp. A reception hosted by the bride’s parents followed at The Parador with entertainm­ent by Louie Crapitto and The Cowboy Jazz Band. The parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding at The Houston Zoo followed by an evening at Zoo Lights.

The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edward Brents III of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaugh­ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dan C. Heath of Houston, the late Mrs. Doris “Dee” Brents and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edward Brents II of Fort Worth. The Groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Dennis of Wimberley, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Curtis Sparks of Dallas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Guy Wilson Dennis of San Antonio.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown designed by Pronovias Barcelona. The ivory ball gown featured a skirt made of silk Mikado with a cathedral length train. The fitted bodice was made of beaded lace with cascading covered buttons down the back. To compliment her gown, the bride chose a cathedral length veil edged with the same lace from the bodice of the gown. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet composed of Ivory and Blush Garden Roses, White Anemones, Blue Thistles, White Ranunculus, framed by silver dollar Eucalyptus and wrapped in lace from her paternal grandmothe­r’s wedding dress.

Serving as her maid of honor was her sister, Ms. Emily Kathryn Heath Brents. Bridesmaid­s included Mrs. Victoria Branom Crow, Mrs. Mary Ennis Harding and Ms. Jennifer Leigh Williams of Austin, Mrs. Lindsey Machac Schiffli of Schulenbur­g, Mrs. Jordan Anderson Fitzsimmon­s and Ms. Kelly Diane Hager of Dallas, and Mrs. Courtney Robertson Shields of Boston, Massachuse­tts. House Party included Mrs. Kathleen Parks Thompson of Houston and Mrs. Jennifer Brents White of Fort Worth. Readings were given by Ms. Amelia Leigh Cesak of Charlottes­ville, Virginia and Mrs. Kristine Dennis Parkerson, sister of the groom, of Wimberley.

Brother of the groom, Mr. Michael James Dennis of Austin, served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Mr. Jeffrey William Bricker, Mr. Ranjit M. Joseph, Mr. Thomas Erik Landrum, Mr. Ryan Thomas Merlet, Mr. Chad Thomas Niemann and Mr. Brian Matthew Spencer of Houston and Mr. David Patrick Parkerson of Wimberley.

Sarah is a graduate of M.B. Lamar High School in Houston, Texas. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a degree in History. She received a Master’s in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester and is a member of Alpha Delta Pi. The bride is currently employed at Houston Baptist University.

David is a graduate of Cypress Creek High School in Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University, graduating with a degree in Bioenviron­mental Sciences. The groom is currently employed at Ferndale Healthcare.

Following their honeymoon in Thailand the couple reside in Houston, Texas with their dogs, Magnolia and Lemon.
