Clients depend on Ratliff ’s industry experience

“So, I recommend selecting a Realtor that gives confidence in your decisions. I educate my clients and make sure they have the information they need to make an informed decision when buying or selling a home,” said Janice Ratliff, a Realtor with Bernstein Realty.

“We have a great inventory of homes. If the homes are priced right and staged well, they are going to sell quickly. I sold a home last week in one day,” Ratliff said. “I understand the nuances of preparing a home for market. We get one chance to make that first impression.”
Ratliff spends time in advance of listing a home, so when professional photographers take the marketing photos, she wants the home perfect.
Ratliff ’s main focus areas are west Houston, Katy and Fulshear.
“I have represented buyers all over Texas. I also assist outgoing families find a Realtor to assist them wherever they are going,” Ratliff said.
Longtime Houstonian
Ratliff, who grew up in Pasadena, has lived in Houston since 1978. She has lived in many different areas in and around the city and today resides in Katy.
“I have lived in Katy since 1989. I moved to Katy for the public schools; plus there are great amenities,” Ratliff said.
Prior to real estate, part of her previous career involved new construction and flipping homes.
“I worked for a family that bought and sold real estate. I enjoyed every aspect of those transactions that led me to obtaining my real estate license 30 years ago. It was a leap of faith to leave a solid career, but I never looked back. I have been with Amy Bernstein ever since. She has been a wonderful mentor and friend,” Ratliff said.
Moreover, she enjoys working with families who are relocating to the area from another country, state or another part of Houston.
All of Ratliff ’s experience, market knowledge, passion about what she does, and being a people person have led to her being an award-winning Realtor. She is also a Lifetime Achievement recipient at Bernstein. She also holds a Certified Staging Advocate designation, which is helpful when listing a home.
She is definitely detail oriented, helping clients navigate through the many other steps in a transaction, but most of all, her experience and passion for real estate give her clients the competitive edge.
