FIRST TEAM
Tramon Mark, Dickinson, Sr.: The Guy V. Lewis Award winner and University of Houston pledge is the key figure in Dickinson’s rise. He scored a schoolrecord 1,055 points this season, averaging 29.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.2 steals per game to lead the Gators.
Bryce Griggs, Hightower, So.: Aside from the 25 points per game this year, it isn’t a secret: People pay to see Griggs play. He’s still just beginning to add to an outstanding high school career.
Jordan Ivy-Curry, La Marque, Sr.: Houston isn’t short on scoring machines, especially at guard, but Ivy-Curry is at the top of the list. He’s committed to Texas-San Antonio.
Rubin Jones, Yates, Sr.: Yates’ depth means any number of players on the roster are capable of leading the way, but the North Texas pledge has long been a steadying force for the Lions, especially in big moments.
Justin Hill, Travis, Sr.: District 20-6A’s MVP was one of the city’s best overall players this year at 22.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.2 assist and 2.3 steals per game.
Marcus Williams, Dickinson, Sr.: It’s important to note Williams is a codistrict MVP this year with Mark, averaging 21.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 3.3 steals this year.
Ramon Walker, Shadow Creek, Jr.: Walker turned in 24.4 points per game while shooting 54 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from the 3-point line. He added 6.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.9 steals per game, too. Shadow Creek will be just fine in Class 6A next year.
