Dallas, Texas “This is so rewarding for our community; this is going to really lift our spirits.” – Michael Hinojosa,

Dallas ISD Superintendent Dallas ISD is one of the most improved districts in the country and is charting the course to establish itself as one of the nation’s premier urban school districts.

With a focus on transformative change that starts at the top, the district works diligently to move every student toward excellence believing that there is no limit to what students can achieve, given the right tools. With the help of dedicated teachers and a robust curriculum, Dallas ISD students are realizing success and academic performance is trending upward, narrowing the achievement gap.

The district has made remarkable strides within the last three years, improving student performance, parent engagement, teacher retention and community involvement.

These improvements are a direct correlation to the dedication of individual staff, the rise of innovative programs, empowered stakeholder voices and a teacherdriven curriculum. Curriculum is built around the belief that every student can achieve at the highest level if afforded quality instruction and the opportunity to achieve clear and attainable goals.

Through its Early College programs, the district has helped to further the success of its students by making it possible for thousands to earn an associate degree at no cost.
