-

Between an awardwinning community at The Woodlands, and ExxonMobil Corp.’s campus, north Houston has long been a popular choice for suburb-seeking Houstonians.

With an uptick in residential and commercial construction, residents don’t need to travel to the city for employment opportunities, entertainment, boutique retail, museums, and festivals.

Houston, The Woodlands is finally approaching buildout, estimated to conclude in 2022. Springwoods Village, a 2,000-acre master-planned community south of The Woodlands, will be picking up development with an emphasis on green and sustainable living.

The Woodlands’

28,000 acres comprise a comprehensive masterplanned community integrated into lush forest and bustling retail and employment centers. Nature is very much part of the lifestyle in The Woodlands, with a 1,700-acre nature preserve, more than 100 forested parks, and 200 miles of hike-and-bike trails.

At the heart of The Woodlands community is the 200-acre Lake Woodlands and Town Center, with major attractions like the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and the Woodlands Waterway. The Woodlands Mall and the pedestrian Market Street offer restaurants, movie theaters and upscale boutiques, sidewalk cafes and open plazas. In Spring, there are a wide variety of retail options including Old Town Spring, a shopping complex with historic ties and unique shops, galleries and history museums.
