Outdoor living is at area condo residents’ fingertips

Condo living has many appealing aspects, and one of those is the chance to enjoy the outdoors in a variety of ways.

Though you’ve left home maintenance behind when you came to live in a condominium, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy outdoor amenities designed for relaxing such as a pool, garden, walking or grilling with friends.

While we may be thinking of social distancing during this pandemic, Houston condominiums have plenty of options to embrace.

Beth Wolff, Chairman/ CEO, Beth Wolff Realtors said that in a city that has more land than most, vertical living is increasingly popular.

“The lock and leave lifestyle affords ease of living,” said Wolff. “Located in various areas of Houston, they offer amenities from resort style pools to gyms, and even rooms to entertain.”

From downtown to midtown, the Galleria and River Oaks, homeowners can find a space that will match their lifestyle.

“The Warwick Towers’ fifth floor has a putting green in addition to the pool and entertaining areas with ample outdoor space for recreation and dining. It is located across from the wonderful Hermann Park amenities including the Miller Outdoor Theater, museums, and more. As well, the Houstonian and Bayou Bend are in walking distance to Memorial Park and the Arboretum,” she said.

Residents living at The River Oaks can enjoy their outdoor kitchen and landscaping while at The Sophie on Bayou Bend, homeowners have expansive terraces that provide indoor and outdoor living with summer kitchens, fireplaces, and entertaining space.

At 2929 Weslayan, residents also can enjoy a 60-seat skyline lounge, grotto pool, wet deck with resort-style cabanas, master grilling stations and a raised fire pit with 360degree seating.

The Houstonian, Four Leaf Towers, and Inwood Manor have extensive outdoor spaces affording ample room for social distancing with lush grounds for walking, according to Wolff.

“Urban locations like Highland Tower, the Manhattan, and the Four Leaf offer the pool and other amenities and provide easy access to restaurants and shopping within walking distance. There are many options in this specific home choice. It is important to work with a Realtor who is familiar with the different options to find the one that suits your needs,” Wolff said.

Also, if it is safety you’re concerned about, that’s taken care of as well when headed to on-site amenities.

“I have found all of the buildings adhering to guidelines to ensure safety for residents,” said Wolff. “Condominiums also have a sense of community. It is not unusual to find residents socially distancing on the grounds or in pools. In addition, the well-trained staffs provide assistance in many instances. Specific services vary with each building.”
