Miss Kathryn Grace Schroeder Weds Mr. Andrew Milton Calloway

Miss Kathryn Grace Schroeder and Mr. Andrew Milton Calloway were united in Holy Matrimony on Saturday, September 19th at half after seven o’clock in the evening. The candleligh­t, double ring ceremony and Nuptial Mass took place at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Houston with the Reverend Wayne Wilkerson officiatin­g. Raenelle Hill and Dede Kaplan gave Scripture readings. Music for the ceremony was provided by the Avalon String Quartet. Immediatel­y following the ceremony, guests gathered at The Junior League of Houston for an evening of “social distanced” celebratio­n while enjoying entertainm­ent by The Drywater Band. On the eve of the wedding, the groom and his parents hosted a Rehearsal Dinner at The Armadillo Palace. On Friday, Kathryn’s sisters, Ann Lee, and Allison Sovany, along with the bride’s godmother, Marilyn Netek, hosted a Bridal Luncheon honoring the Bride and her attendants at The Junior League of Houston.

Kathryn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Wayne Schroeder of Houston and the granddaugh­ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Caldwell and the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wayne Schroeder. Milton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Daniel Calloway of La Grange, TX and the brother of Victoria Calloway, his twin sister, and the late Mr. Winston William Calloway. He is the grandson of Mrs. Ruby Pechal Tielsch and the late Mr. Milton Pechal and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Marvin Calloway.

Given in marriage by her parents and sisters and escorted by her father, the bride selected an exquisite gown and veil of ivory embroidere­d lace designed by Martina Liana. Her bouquet was wrapped in a satin and pearl holder fashioned from her maternal grandmothe­r’s wedding dress. She carried an heirloom handkerchi­ef handmade by her paternal great-grandmothe­r, Daisy Schroeder.

Dr. Ann Schroeder Lee and Mrs. Allison Schroeder Sovany served their sister as Matrons of Honor. Her bridesmaid­s were Ms. Madeline Burns, Ms. Victoria Calloway, Dr. Kayla Colvill, Ms. Hailie Durrett, Mrs. Brooke Zeluff Gawronski, Ms. Theresa Hessel, Dr. Catherine Lang, Mrs. Christine Comeaux LeBlanc, and Mrs. Sterling Ayala Tramonte. Junior Bridesmaid­s were the bride’s nieces, Miss Caroline Sovany, Miss Grace Lee and Miss Elizabeth Lee. The Flower Girl was her youngest niece, Miss Frances Lee.

Milt’s Best Man was his longtime friend and Air Force Academy roommate, Captain David Alvarado. Groomsmen were Captain Zachary Westerfiel­d, Captain John Harry Oms, Captain Ryan Recker, Captain Anthony D’Errico, Mr. Matthew Feiring, Mr. Marshall Mode, Mr. Herrick Sovany and Mr. Christophe­r Lee.

Kathryn is a 2009 graduate of Saint Agnes Academy in Houston. She graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics where she was chosen as a member of the Texas A&M Titans of Finance XII. She is also a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and The Junior League of Houston. She is currently working in Risk Management and Oil and Gas underwriti­ng for Travelers Insurance Company.

Milton is a 2008 graduate of La Grange High School and a 2013 graduate of The United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics as an Honor Graduate with Military Distinctio­n. He served as an Active Duty Air Force officer for six years and was Honorably Discharged as a Captain in 2018. Milt earned a Master of Science in Finance with honors from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He joined Hardeman Company, a Dallas based private holding company where he serves as Chief Operating Officer. Milt is an active member of Ambassador­s Impact Network and St. Monica Catholic Church.

Following their honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Milton Calloway will make their home in Dallas.
