If you’re thinking about making the move to a luxury high-rise condominium but are worried about pet-friendly amenities, there’s nothing to be concerned because the welcome mat is out.
According to CNBC’s article, Millennials, this age group puts pets first when buying a home. It stated 89 percent of millennials who bought a home own a pet according to Realtor.com.
Also, 79 percent of this demographic said they would pass on their perfect home if their pets’ needs weren’t met.
Houston developers have listened to this demand and have accommodated pets and their owners. It is not uncommon to find everything you need.
Homeowners can utilize walking paths, dog parks and often the luxurious outdoor porch potty setting. Residents on the go can also make appointments with mobile and on-site pet groomers for worry-free care for their furry friends. Some buildings even offer pet sitting and walking if requested.

Most of all, be aware of any rules or restrictions each building may have in place if deciding to bring a pet. Some affect the number of pets, breeds and weights of the animals.
At The Parklane, the building is deemed “very dog friendly” according to Casey Ebel with Elevated Group, Compass. There are no breed or size restrictions for incoming pets. The building also provides a fenced dog park on the grounds and easy access to trails winding through the 535-acre Hermann Park.
“While condo living may not seem pet friendly, it actually is, especially at The Parklane. The project is welcoming of nearly all dog breeds and sizes offering owners and potential buyers flexibility. We understand that dogs are members of the family too,” said Ebel.
