Vincent Jerome Doyle, Jr died at home on Tuesday November 10, 2020. He was born and raised in Houston Texas and recently retired to Lavon Texas. He was predecease­d by his first wife and the mother of his two sons, Sissy Luciano Doyle. He was also predecease­d by his mother, Eleanor Lockwood Doyle, his father Vincent Doyle, his brother Jack Doyle and his aunt Dorothy Lockwood. He graduated from Strake Jesuit Preparator­y School as well as from Holy Cross College. He played football throughout his high school and college years and added rugby during his senior year in college. He had a passion for rugby and played into his 40’s on a team appropriat­ely named The Old Boys and traveled in Europe and New Zealand with the team. He briefly coached football after graduating from college at Kinkaid High School. He then began working as a scheduler and eventually retired from Bechtel after a long and successful career,

He is survived by his wife Jackie Doyle. He leaves behind his sons Andrew Doyle (Dawn) and Vince Doyle (Stephanie) and his grandsons Gage and Ryder Doyle. He is also survived by his brothers Bob Doyle (Marilyn), Michael Doyle (Karen), Anthony Doyle and his sisters Teresa Doyle (James Wright) and Patty Doyle-Konzem (Jim Konzem). He leaves behind many nieces and nephews in Alabama, Colorado, North Carolina, Texas and Washington as well as his sister-inlaw Debbie Doyle (Michael Mestemaker). Vinny, as we all knew him, was a hard worker and took his politics, board games and cards seriously. He also had a passion for music especially the Beatles and almost any Beatles’ cover band. He outlasted his cancer longer than the odds but was ready to head home. He will be missed. A private Zoom service was held Saturday December 5, 2020.
