-

1955-2020

It was the early morning of Monday, December 7, 2020, when Mitchell P. Cappadonna would receive a “call” from Gen. George S. Patton stating he had important duties waiting for him on the other side. Knowing Mitchell, it was an opportunity he could not refuse. It was in this moment that Mitch would leave his earthly body to enter the realms of Heaven. Although he never was a war hero in this lifetime, he was a legend to all those who knew him.

Mitchell Cappadonna was best known for his instinctive leadership role and driving force behind Mid-West Electric Co. Though none of this would have flourished if it hadn’t been for the history of the Cappadonna legacy. Mitchell represented the 3rd generation of the family to be affiliated with Mid-West Electric since 1948. Mitch’s life began on April, 7, 1955, in Midland, Texas, where Mickey and Jerry Cappadonna would welcome him into this world. From the early days, being a Cappadonna entitled working on the ranch and learning the family electrical business. Mitchell was blessed with five siblings who he dearly loved by the names of Cathy, Mark, Bo, Joe and Carol. As the years went by, Mitchell would soon meet the love of his life, Jeffie Bridgeman. Little did he know she would end up being his dedicated, lifelong partner. After graduating the summer of 1973, from Robert E. Lee High School, Mitchell would marry his high school sweetheart July 27.

In 1975, with the assistance of his father and best friend, Mitchell A. Cappadonna, Mitch established Mid-West Electric Co. in Houston, Texas. It was the time for expansion and new opportunities. Mitchell would soon prove himself as a born leader and devoted family man. During the years of Mitchell and Jeffie’s journey, the two would welcome four beautiful children by the names of Matthew, Sarah, Katie and Maggie. The Cappadonna’s would eventually plant their roots in the heart of Tomball, Texas in 1984.

Throughout the many years of service that Mitchell would contribute to his company, he eventually turned MWE into one of the largest, privately owned electrical contracting firms in the state of Texas.

The passion behind Mitch’s work was paralleled with his love for those within the Mid-West family. Mid-West Electric will always represent the heart and soul of MPC.
