DONALD MARK PEEK

-

1935-2020

Donald, Don, Derlin, Papa - our SWEET PAPA, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior Dec. 5, 2020.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley Jo; 3 children, son, Mark Peek Sr and wife Sharon; daughter, Cathy Walker; son, Michael Peek; 10 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren; brother, Buddie Peek and wife Mary; sister-in-laws, Elsie Bailes and Sylvia Jean Bailes; brother-in-law, Kenneth Stephenson and wife Jeannie, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was absolutely the most loving husband, father and grandfather. Donald was a member of Living Savior Lutheran Church in Montgomery, Tx. He was in the car business for 55 years and retired in 2014 at age 78, and his name has been carried on in the business.

To call Donald special is an understatement. He embraced life and was a man of deep and enduring faith.

Donald was always so happy to see loved ones and expressed it with wide arms and his beautiful, sweet smile. He has a legacy that extends from the greatest of love of our Lord and Savior, to the simplest as starting a tradition of putting a ‘ Papa hat’ on his great-grandchildren to protect them from the sun. He had the unique ability to love each family member so much, individually he had many ‘favorites.’

He had a love of nature and interacting with it from his back porch in his later years. Feeding the fish with his great-grandchildren was a highlight of every visit.

There was something about him that just beamed love to all of his family; who returned that love.

His big, beautiful, sweet smile, his love for the Texans and fishing trips, his texts with misspelled words, his habit of loving food, and having everything done a particular ’ Papa’ way, and his ways of showing unconditional love for Mema and all of his family will be cherished and remembered.

Memorial donations may be made to:
