Miss Emily Anne Sales Weds Mr. Brian Neal Marmillion

Miss Emily Anne Sales and Mr. Brian Neal Marmillion were united in marriage on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at half past seven o’clock in the evening at St. Michael Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. Father Leon Strieder officiated the double ring ceremony. Organist Chris Popelka and Divisi Strings provided music for the ceremony, along with cantor, Michelle Girardot. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Houston Country Club. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Damian’s.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Travis James Sales. She is the granddaugh­ter of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Sales and the late Colonel and Mrs. Carlos Urrutia II.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Peter Mamillion. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Frederick Marmillion, the late Mrs. Kathleen Hayes McGuinness, the late Mr. Bernard Michael McGuinness, and Mrs. Mary Francis McGuinness.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a timeless Rivini by Rita Vinieris satin gown, complete with draped back bows and tail.To complement her gown, the bride chose a cathedral length veil trimmed with French Alencon lace. The bride carried a bouquet beautifull­y composed of white ranunculus, phalo orchids and white hydrangea.

Serving as her matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Katherine Sales Kirbo. Serving as her maid of honor was Lindsey Kristen Koszela. Bridesmaid­s were Virginia Rutherfoor­d Gilmore, Catherine Estelle Larkin, Danielle Elizabeth Lotz, Mara Makenzie Medellin, Abby Dana Miller, Jordan Powell Murphy, and Charlotte McMullan Ward. Serving in the House Party included Kirby Terrell Cornelius, Katie Lakenmache­r Labanowski, and Nicole Lea Logan.

Groomsmen were brothers Jason Peter Marmillion, Kyle David Marmillion, Scott Patrick Marmillion, as well as James Austin Sales, Lee Turner Harris, Trevor James Hershey, Philip Matthew Murphy, Connor Megaro Reichhold, and Thomas DanWard. Joseph Patrick Dunn, Bradford Wiley Kirbo, and Daniel Cameron Mackay served as ushers.

The bride is a graduate of Memorial High School in Houston, Texas and the groom, a graduate of Westlake High School in Austin, TX. They both earned their Bachelors in Business Administra­tion and Masters in Profession­al Accounting at The University of Texas at Austin. While at the university, Emily was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and Brian was a member of the University of Texas’ Men’s Lacrosse Team. Emily and Brian both are employed by Ernst and Young, Houston with roles in Assurance Services.

Following their honeymoon in Punta Mita, Mexico, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
