-

Floyd Heman Pless, 91, passed into eternal rest on January 6, 2021. He was born August 23, 1929 in

Sealy, Texas to parents Edwin and Adele Pless. The family moved to Houston in the late 30”s. This is where he met and married the love of his life, Ima Jean Drake. They were married for 68 years, until her passing in 2018; they loved to go dancing. Floyd was a hard-working man; worked as a salesman for numerous companies, including Coca Cola, Mrs. Shelby’s Cookies and Little Debbie’s. Whenever he was off work, he was working at something at home, he never could sit still. He was active in Our Savior Lutheran Church, in a Bible Study and as a guard at the school gate, for as long as he was able to physically. Floyd was a good humored man, always had a smile and talked to everyone, giving his opinion on multiple subjects. Fishing and deer hunting were also loves of his and he spent many a weekend, doing both with his brother-in-law.

Left to cherish his memory are daughter Shelley Blattel and her husband Steve, granddaughters Lindsay Blattel and Stacey Gatlin and her husband Beau, great-granddaughters: Harper, Lucy and Felicity and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
