HARRY M. HALL 1924-2021

Harry Melvin Hall, 96, of Houston, with his loving family by his side, entered the arms of his Heavenly Father on January 29, 2021. He was born the 2nd of 3 children to William Andrew Hall and Helen Eloise (Nix) Hall in Dallas, TX on July 30, 1924.

Harry is survived by daughters Debra Michalcik and Terry Jackson (Craig). He was “Pappy” to five grandchild­ren, Brandon Michalcik (Jennifer), Brooke Michalcik, Becca Edge (Brian), Taylor Jackson and Forrest Jackson; and six great grandchild­ren, Cameron, Charlotte and

Molly Edge and Tyler, Kaylee, and Danika Michalcik.

He is also survived by in-laws and out-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harry was preceded in death by his devoted wife, best friend and soulmate of 71 years, Virginia; his parents; sister Doris and brother Raymond.

Harry served in the Navy (GMCR) during WW2, the Korean conflict, and Naval Reserve (retired). He graduated Houston’s Police Academy in Class #1 and retired from HPD as a Homicide Detective; as well he retired from Harris County’s Medical

Examiner’s Office.

Harry especially loved and was proud of his family. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed life at the ranch, hunting, traveling, vegetable gardening, and woodworkin­g. He loved laughing, joking, and sitting outside with good friends. Harry was a Freemason member of Reagan Lodge 1037 and a member of the Masonic Eastern Star.

Harry’s family respected and adored him; he is loved by many and will be missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund (www. curealz.org).
