Bobbie Jo (Smith) Fellers, age 82, was born in Center, Texas, on April 19, 1938 and passed away in Houston, Texas, on February 2, 2021. She was a devoted wife, dedicated mother, amazing grandmothe­r, and caring friend. She took her role as “minister’s wife” very seriously and enjoyed being a part of each church her husband served. She also enjoyed reading, needlepoin­ting, travelling, and was lucky enough to participat­e in several “once in a lifetime” experience­s.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years the Rev. John Eugene Fellers, beloved son-in-law Charles E. “Chuck” Cary, sister Olivia Cosby and husband Eugene, and brother George Grady Smith. She is survived by daughters Stephanie Jo Cary, Eugenia Wainright and husband Wilson, Terrence Alley and husband Anthony, son Lawrence

Fellers and wife Elizabeth, 9 treasured grandchild­ren, Charles, Sean, and Elizabeth Jo Cary, Mather Wainright, Ainsley and Andrew Alley, Julia Fellers Crisman and husband Matt, Kennedy Fellers Sanchez and husband Daniel, and Russell Fellers, 2 adorable great granddaugh­ters, Carson Crisman, and Summer Sanchez, sister Wanda Waits, and sister-inlaw Janet Smith.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at the Treemont Healthcare Center for taking such amazing care of their mother, and the Journeys Sunday School Class, the Thursday Morning Bible Study group, and the UMW at St. Paul’s for all the fun times and laughter they offered her throughout the years.

The family will participat­e in a private right of committal at St. Paul’s UMC. Due to the pandemic, a public service of celebratio­n will be held at a later date.
