Realtor’s area offers excitement in the marketplace

Realtor Charlotte Blocker with Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty knew real estate was what she meant to do when she received her license in 2004.

By 2006, Blocker went on to obtain her broker license, and she hasn’t stopped since.

“I fell in love with real estate the moment I realized that there is no other opportunity like to not only change my life for the better but to also make a difference in someone else’s in a positive way,” she said.

Her focus area, which includes The Woodlands, Conroe, and Spring, is also where Blocker has called home for the past eight years. Blocker said now is absolutely a good time to look into the housing industry for both new home buyers and investors.

Blocker is head over heels with her area.

“What is not to love about The Woodlands? It was named a top city to live in America. It truly is a wonderful place to live, work and play. Conroe was named one of the fastestgrowing cities in the country. There’s lots of excitement in our marketplace,” Blocker said.

Before entering real estate, Blocker worked in the fragrance industry as a vendor representative promoting top brands such as Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani and Oscar de la Renta. After having her two daughters, Blocker and a friend then launched a transportation service for children.

“I feel both industries paved the way for my success in real estate. I have always provided outstanding customer service, and I am a master at marketing,” she said.

In addition, Blocker has earned numerous designations and certifications including an Accredited Luxury Home Specialist, Certified New Home Specialist, Residential Construction Certified, as well as a Licensed Broker for both Texas and Louisiana.

She credits her grandparents, R.J. and Myrtle Winzor, for inspiring her true entrepreneurial spirit. Her key personal traits range from honesty to being organized, detail oriented, knowledgeable, incredibly tenacious and a great negotiator.

Working with clients is rewarding, Blocker said.

“One of my favorite quotes was from Ray Kroc, the founder of MacDonald’s, who said he was not in the hamburger business but in the real estate business. I like to say I am not in the real estate business but in the relationship business. I am blessed to say I have so many clients I have helped through the years who have become a second family for me,” Blocker said.
