FRANK MORELLO

-

1924-2021

Frank Morello was born June 1, 1924, the youngest of four sons and two daughters to Samuel Morello and Mary Trentacost Morello. He was born in Hearne, Texas where he spent his early years working the family farm.

While attending a wedding in Houston, he met the love of his life, Rosetta Marie Navarro, whom he married in 1950. They were married for 53 years and had three children, Frank Jr. (Bubba), Mary Margaret and Rosanne.

Frank enjoyed a long career working as a machinist for Continental Emsco, although his real passion was always his family. He and Rosetta raised their children close to her mother and father, enjoying Pasta Sundays together faithfully. Frank was a BBQ king and master gardener, growing cucuzza, tomatoes and eggplant as well as winning Yard of the Month more times than he could count. Frank’s favorite pastimes also included deer and dove hunting, spending time at his son’s ranch in Cotulla, and going to casinos with his friends and family.

After Frank lost his beloved Rosetta in 2004, he remained deeply devoted to his children, Frank Morello Jr., Mary Margaret Sims and husband Chris, and Rosanne Pizzitola and husband Frank.

The joys of his life were his grandchildren, Brandon Sims and wife Elaine, Michael Sims and wife Marie, Roxann Lewis and husband Jeff, Christina Pizzitola and fiancé Matt Easley, and Mary Margaret Priwin and husband Daniel. He was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Ryan Marie, Rocco, Luca, Siena and Sterling Sims as well as Rocco and Cash Lewis. Each shared a special relationship with their Paw Paw and will continue to cherish the beautiful memories they have of his consistent presence and love.

Frank enjoyed the last 2½ years of his life exactly as he’d hoped… living with Mary Margaret and Chris, enjoying visits from his family, eating delicious home-cooked meals, and sitting in his favorite chair. We are eternally grateful for the wonderful care he received from each of his loving caregivers. He passed away peacefully in the very spot where his wife transitioned 17 years earlier and, in a final tribute to their enduring love, he is being buried on her birthday.

Services will be held at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd. in Sugar Land, where Frank was a founding member, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021,

The visitation will be at 9:00 a.m., with a mass starting at 10:00 a.m. The burial will be at Forest Park Lawndale immediatly following the mass.
