JAMES MICHAEL GREGG, JR.

1998-2021

-

James Michael Gregg, Jr. was born on November 28th, 1998 in Houston TX. He was a smart and independent individual even from an early age, never willing to be a square peg that fit into a square hole, and unashamed to let everyone around him know that.

In spite of obstacles that arose from Asperger’s, James courageously faced life’s challenges, never backing down, always stubbornly pushing hard to overcome adversity.

James had experiences through his life that many people never achieve in a lifetime. He enjoyed moving and living in different places in Texas and Colorado, and traveled extensively, visiting a variety of countries, including Canada, Mexico, France, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Greece, and others.

He loved nice clothes and nice cars, wasn’t afraid to make his own fashion statements, but also had an impeccable sense of style.

James started most mornings with a workout, liked going on roads trips, going on hikes in Colorado, and taking walks with his dog and companion LowKey.

Smart, with an uncanny ability to make logical arguments and out-debate those he disagreed with, James could certainly at times be obstinate and aggravating, but also brilliant. He had a dry sense of humor and if you could get him to open up, he was great fun to be around and to talk to.

James had a good understanding of himself, and his strengths and his weaknesses.

He was well spoken, with an ability to engage in an intelligent conversation on any topic, be it history, politics, religion, or science. He had a tendency to tell people exactly what he thought, which was always quite refreshing, but he could never disguise the fact that he was a truly good, honorable person.

James was not overtly religious, but kept an open mind and believed in an afterlife, and if there is a heaven, there is no doubt James is there.

James will be heartbreakingly missed by those who loved him and cared for him, and is survived by his parents James and Linda Gregg, his brother Sean, and grandparents Jose and Mai Garcia and Hedy Harris.
