Carol Ann Gatton Scott, born July 5th, 1947 to Roberta and Marshall Gatton in Bryan,Texas.

Carol was a proud Cardinal class of ‘65, Bellair High School.

Carol studied education at UT Austin where she pledged Zeta Tau Alpha. Carol devoted 40 years as CCISD classroom teacher, substitute, and interventi­on teacher. She dearly loved teaching and watching children grow to their own individual potential.

She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, gardening and exploring nature in the backyard with her great grandchild­ren, and volunteeri­ng. Carol served with Children’s Ministry at University Baptist Church alongside other Christians who became good friends.

But most of all she loved her savior Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death husbands Bill Clendenin and Harold Scott and parents.

“Honey”, is survived by her devoted and loving family including sister, Lindol Plaag, son Richard Marshall Clendenin, granddaugh­ter Alexis Marie Clendenin Pulido, great grandchild­ren Noah Scott Pulido, Paxton Hayes Pulido, and Isla Marie Pulido. Her extended family includes three stepdaught­ers and their families.

Honey is also survived by her sister-in-law, Georgianna Horn.

A graveside service for Carol will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
