Thompson’s 38 power Warriors

SAN FRANCISCO — Klay Thompson scored a season-best 38 points, raising his right arm in triumph to ignite the home crowd and leading the Golden State Warriors past the defending NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks 122-109 on Saturday night.

Thompson had his second 30-point performanc­e since returning Jan. 9 from a two-year absence following knee and Achilles surgeries.

Milwaukee native Jordan Poole returned to Golden State’s starting lineup and scored 30 points with five 3-pointers to go with six rebounds and five assists.

Giannis Antetokoun­mpo had 31 points and eight rebounds, but the Warriors’ defense held the rest of the Bucks down. Milwaukee had won six a row.

JAZZ 134, KINGS 125

Jordan Clarkson scored a career-high 45 points to overcome the absence of Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley and help host Utah beat Sacramento.

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 26 points for Utah, and Davion Mitchell had 25. They have won nine straight at home and nine in a row in the series against Sacramento.

Hassan Whiteside, filling in for Gobert, had 12 points and a career-high 21 rebounds.

De’Aaron Fox had 41 points and 11 assists for Sacramento. They have lost four in a row.

TIMBERWOLV­ES 113 HEAT 104

Jaylen Nowell scored 16 points, Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards each added 15 and visiting Minnesota beat Miami.

Tyler Herro scored 30 points for the Eastern Conference-leading Heat.

Miami’s Markieff Morris had six points and four rebounds in 17 minutes off the bench in his first game in more than four months because of a whiplash injury.

The Heat played without Jimmy Butler (toe irritation), Caleb Martin (knee), and Victor Oladipo (knee).

BULLS 101, CAVALIERS 91

DeMar DeRozan scored 25 points, Nikola Vucevic added 20 points and 14 rebounds and host Chicago beat Cleveland.

Zach LaVine was sidelined because of lingering soreness in his left knee. Alex Caruso played 29 minutes after being sidelined since Jan. 21 because of a broken right wrist.

Darius Garland led Cleveland with 25 points.

PACERS 119, SPURS 108

Tyrese Haliburton had 19 points and 10 assists and visiting Indiana beat San Antonio to snap a threegame skid.

Spurs rookie center Jock Landale had a season-high 26 points.

RAPTORS 127, NUGGETS 115

Pascal Siakam scored 33 points, Scottie Barnes had 25 and visiting Toronto pulled away late to beat Denver.

Chris Boucher added 21 points and 13 rebounds for the Raptors, and Barnes also had 10 assists and eight rebounds. They won their third in a row.

Nikola Jokic had 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Nuggets.

TRAIL BLAZERS 127 WIZARDS 118

Josh Hart scored a career-high 44 points with eight rebounds and six assists, and host Portland beat Washington to snap a six-game skid.

Trendon Watford and Drew Eubanks also had personal bests with 27 and 20 points, respective­ly. Eubanks also had 12 rebounds.

Kentavious CaldwellPo­pe led the Wizards with 26 points, and Kyle Kuzma had 22.
