ANNE HEISE CHAMBERLAND

-

Anne Heise Chamberland was born in Hempstead,

Texas on April 3, 1927, to

Fred H. and Corinne (Blumberg) Heise. After graduating from high school, she moved to Houston, where she quickly built a life for herself and fell in love with the community. In addition to raising her son in the Spring Branch neighborhood and making dear lifelong friends there, she spent years working in law firms, as a real estate broker, and as an investor.

She was feisty, witty, intelligent, and lived life to its fullest. She traveled the world on a cruise ship, visiting many beautiful countries, learning interesting customs, and collecting stories to tell. Las Vegas was among her favorite places to visit and she was always a winner at the slots. She was an avid bridge player in her younger years and enjoyed playing with friends. She also had a knack for painting, with a focus on rural settings. Later in life she conquered technology, becoming a whiz at using computers and exceptional at texting. Fair Haven United Methodist Church held a special place in her heart and she was active in the church for many years.

Anne was generous with her family and friends and was a blessing to many. She loved her son and spoke of her grandson, the light of her life, daily. Family gatherings at Cedar Creek were one of the things she treasured most.

Anne is survived by her son Marcus Chamberland, her grandson Jackson Chamberland, and granddaughter Lauren Hayes. She also has many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly and will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Catherine Truelock, Myrtle Heise, Mary Lou Galliher, and Evelyn Teston; and brothers Fredrick W. Heise and Herman Heise.

On March 28, 2022, our hearts forever changed the moment Anne’s stopped.

But we find solace knowing we carry her love and her memory within us. We are lucky to have known and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 9-11am. Funeral services will follow at 11am at Canon Funeral Home located at 1420 Farr St., Waller, TX 77484 with Bob Luton officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
