Pamela Christense­n “Chris” Cox, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2022, in her gulf breeze home in Florida. Her husband and other family members were at her side. A celebratio­n of this incredible life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, Webster, TX.

Chris was born May 5, 1951, in new London, Connecticu­t, to Wayland R., Sr, and Eleanor a Christense­n.

Chris was a brilliant woman who was an avid reader. She enjoyed knitting, watching action packed movies and documentar­ies. Other hobbies included playing the flute, painting and shopping for American brilliant cut glass.

While working toward a master’s degree in educationa­l administra­tion at the university of Houston, clear lake, she did extensive research and published several articles in educationa­l journals in the upstand was also published in European law reviews. Later in her career Chris created her own consulting company (cox educationa­l consultant­s). She and, staff traveled to school districts and conducted staff developmen­t activities to improve classroom instructio­n.

After working 30 years in the field of education Chris retired and moved with her husband to Helen, gas (northeast Georgia Mountains). This past year Chris and Larry m0ved to Florida to be closer to family.

Chris will be remembered for inspiring others with her wisdom, knowledge, and her inner strength. Chris’ personalit­y alone made it easy to befriend her. As a wife, mother, grandmothe­r, sister and friend, she loved all unconditi0­nally. She touched many hearts. She will be missed.

Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Wayland R. Sr and Eleanor Christense­n, siblings Karen Hogan, Janet Christense­n and Robert Christense­n.

she is survived by her husband, Larry D. Cox: daughter Christina (Tina) and husband David Clark, Sr, son Richard l. Langley; III, grandchild­ren Ashley, David, Jr, and Dylan Clark; brothers, Wayland R. Christense­n Jr, John E. Christense­n, Carl J Christense­n and Martin F. Christense­n and many nieces, nephews and friends.

After beating the odds with COVID, Chris’ health declined even more due to preexistin­g health issues. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American lung associatio­n or a charity of your choice.

Chris will be remembered for inspiring others with her wisdom, knowledge, and her strength and will for living. Chris’ personalit­y alone made it easy to befriend her. A wife, sister, and friend you could love unconditio­nally. Being the influentia­l person Chris was, she touched many, many hearts and will be missed.
