HOUSTON’S NEWEST LUXURY HOTEL DAZZLES WITH ITS MODERN DESIGN

-

The city of Houston has seen its fair share of luxury hotels over the past few decades. From hosting Super Bowls to serving as the biggest oil and gas mecca in the industry, this thriving metropolis brings in droves of outsiders year after year from nearly every country imaginable.

Business travelers, leisurely sightseers, and even countless world leaders expect the best of the best when seeking hospitality for their overnight stays, and H-town has plenty of accommodations that deliver.

All these facts are exactly what makes newcomers to Houston’s hotel scene so intriguing, especially considering that to enter the conversation they’ll need to bring a massive swath of innovation that is nothing short of jaw-dropping. With the grand opening of the Blossom Hotel Houston, it’s time to see if they fit the bill by offering guests an exclusive experience found nowhere else.

Elevating Luxury in Houston

While many other international hotels are chain-based and follow a corporate template model, the Blossom Hotel Houston specifically set out to create something more unique and personal that truly represented what the city is about. In their attempt to accomplish such a feat, they partnered with the Rongyi Creative Company to make something one of a kind.

“NASA Space

Center Houston served as Mission Control for the first moon landing when man walked on the lunar surface for the first time,” Randy Nemeth, Director of Operations, says of their primary inspiration. “To reflect the destination’s unique connection to space exploration, we conceptualized a design narrative that centers around the moon.”

The newly constructed Blossom Hotel Houston spans 16 stories and houses 267 rooms, and the 9,000 square feet of event space with floor-toceiling windows referred to as the Luna Ballroom can hold 250 guests for any business conference or lavish wedding party. However, it’s the nuance within the overall design that captures a pinpointed vibe.

The lobby itself instills a striking first impression as an array of lights on the ceiling convey the essence of multiple shooting stars. Despite being indoors, you feel like you’re enjoying an enchanting evening under the stars. The chic hall with elevators leading up to the equally exquisite rooms distinctly replicates the beauty of nature using intricate floral decor. The desired effect of offering a tranquil sense of mental and physical renewal throughout is clearly working.

“Translating the lunar theme into the hotel’s elegant, minimalist style, we used distinct color palettes and luxurious textures that enhance the sense of space, creating an intimate, poised, and dynamic feeling as well as paying tribute to the local culture,” Nemeth says.

An International Home Away from Home

As exclusive as a stay at Blossom Houston might feel, the hotel is actually much more on the inclusive side since you won’t really want (or need) to leave. Being an international hotel entails a genuine need to provide both local guests and travelers from far away with an immersive experience. This allows all who enter to rest, unwind and feel right at home with a design that resonates with their heart. The rooftop swimming pool is also a sight to behold with soothing views of Houston.

Guest rooms are perfected with Carrera marble bathrooms with rain showerheads, beach wood floors, Nespresso coffeemakers, and even Dyson hairdryers. Zero corners have been cut in carefully curating a luxury experience from top to bottom.

Knowing full-well what a foodie paradise Houston is, the hotel has recruited a pair of Michelin-starred chefs: Ho Chee Boon and Akira Back. The property will soon feature two highly anticipated restaurants. Duck House by Boon is a Cantonese-inspired concept by Chef Boon, and Chef Back will launch the Japaneseinspired AB Sushi.

One reason people are always quick to partner with the hotel and ownership team is their overall caring nature, exemplified through actions that extend far beyond strictly business and take hospitality to a whole new level. In fact, when the deep freeze devastated Houstonian homes and businesses back in February of

2021, the hotel team quietly halted construction of the Blossom

Hotel and redirected efforts to helping employees and community residents who faced broken pipes and subsequently dealt with massive damage. The owner personally paid for this out of pocket.

Thankfully, construction was resumed and completed with minimal delays. At long last, the welcoming doors of the Blossom Houston will be opened for the world to enter and experience.
