History-making summer
Historic Homes Tour, Beach Revue among the most awaited events of the season
Kick off your history-making summer on historic Galveston Island with two of the season’s most awaited festivals and events.
The 48th Annual Galveston Historic Homes Tour, presented by TGRE, returns the first two weekends in May with private tours of eleven island homes. The annual event highlights the stories, people, places, and architecture that makes Galveston significant and includes numerous special events and programs.
Chef-prepared dinners, specially themed tours, Strand walking tours, Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch, and more all come together for a one-of-a-kind weekend. This year also marks the return of Plein Air Southwest’s annual competition where artists from around the country join the event for a weekend of outdoor painting and juried shows.

From historic homes to vintage fun, the 14th annual Galveston Island Beach Revue returns May 20 and 21 to historic Seawall Boulevard. Presented by TGRE,
this retro-themed event welcomes more than 40 contestants to the world-famous bathing beauties competition for a day of live music, classic cars, craft beer tasting, and more.
New York’s Dandy Wellington, along with entertainer Gin Minsky, bring the authenticity of one of Galveston’s most storied events while we celebrate vintage and vintage-inspired swimwear and fun. Don’t miss the Friday night Revue Prevue party, Sunday Galvez brunch, and the all-day fun on Saturday.
