Ode to Herb

There was an old Krischke named Herb

His family and country he served

At life and at ball, he gave it his all

now with God he’s at rest, well deserved.

A native of Houston, was forever heard rootin’

“Go Cougars, St Thomas, and Stros!!”

but he always was wishin’, to be anywhere fishin’

relaxed and reclined, in disposed.

A likable fellow, Herb was usually mellow

in most anyone he’d find a friend they were easy to get with his story and wit and then finish them off with a grin

He adored his wife Pat and she loved him for that

also shrimp was his favorite snack.

And without much ado, if you needed him to

he’d give you the shirt off his back.

So now he has gone, to the good great beyond

and its hard for us not to be sad

but forever we’ll be, all the best we can be,

‘cause God gave us a wonderful Dad.

A visitation will be held Wednesday November 30 at 6:00PM with rosary following at 7:00PM at Earthman Funeral Directors 8303 Katy Freeway, 77024.A memorial mass will be held on Thursday December 1 at noon at

St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Rd, 77056. Private burial services for the immediate family will follow at the Houston National Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank all our friends and neighbors through the years for making our life journey so special. We especially wish to thank the loving assistance provided by his caregivers and Hospice Brazos Valley.
