Betty Jean Hrncir, age 86, of Houston, Texas, passed away at home on February 7, 2023. Betty was born in Beaumont, Texas and grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where she graduated high school from Ursuline Academy.

Betty married Lambert

Hrncir on February 16, 1957, and they were together for 66 years until her passing. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmothe­r, and greatgrand­mother.

Betty was a long-time parishione­r of St. Albert of Trapani Catholic Church in Houston, Texas, where she served for many years as a volunteer. After raising her four boys, Betty continued to care for young children in a daycare. Later, she was employed in retail sales where she loved, with her outgoing personalit­y, to greet and visit with customers. Her hobbies included playing Bingo and Scrabble with her friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Loretta Blaschke. She is survived by her husband Lambert Hrncir, her brother Paul Blaschke, her sons Daniel, Charles, Stephen and his wife Kristine, and Robert, along with seven grandchild­ren and four greatgrand­children.

A visitation and rosary for Betty will be held on Tuesday, February 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Albert of Trapani Catholic Church, 11027 S. Gessner Road in Houston, immediatel­y followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.

The Rite of Committal will follow, via funeral procession to Houston National Cemetery in Houston.

Those honored to serve as pallbearer­s during Tuesday’s services are Daniel Hrncir, Charles Hrncir, Stephen Hrncir, Robert Hrncir, David Hrncir, Michael Hrncir, Matthew Hrncir and Joel Hrncir.
