JUDY TRULL

09/08/1940 - 03/20/2024

-

Judith “Judy” Ann Copple Trull left this earth on March 20, 2024, after a long battle with dementia/Alzheimer’s disease. Judy touched the hearts of all who came to know her.

She was born on September 8, 1940, in Centralia, Ill., to parents, Robert and Lucille Copple. At an early age, Judy and the family moved to Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School class of 1959 and was a proud member of the Woodrow Wilson Sweethearts drill team. She attended Baylor University where she met the love of her life, Don Trull, and enjoyed supporting his football career. They were happily married for 61+ years. Judy devoted her life to her husband; three daughters; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The 20th is a very significant date in her life as her husband was born on the 20th, they married on the 20th, and she decided it was a good day to give up her battle with Alzheimer’s on March 20th at the age of 83.

Judy was dedicated to her family, whether it was enjoying the time spent with Don or raising her girls. Being a wife, mom, and Mee-Maw was her biggest joy. Judy also loved being Don’s biggest fan, doing needlepoint, stainedglass art, gardening, cooking and enjoying her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Robert Copple and Lucille (Nelson) Copple.

She is survived by her sister, Janice Parks (Robert Parks Jr.); her three daughters, Teri Springfield (Jim), Jennifer Lewis (Kenny) and Kelli Condrey (Greg); her beloved dog, Lucy; nine grandchildren, Jordan Springfield Mulcahy (Michael), Tanner Springfield (Brooke), Ashley Springfield Drummond (Jack), Cydney Springfield Talbott (Connor), Mackenzie Lewis, Brady Lewis, Avery Condrey, Tatum Condrey, and Josie Condrey; two great-granddaughters, Dorothy and Lucy Mulcahy, along with an extended family of nieces and nephews.

They all loved their MeeMaw.

A special thank you to Judy’s caregiver, Viola Darden, for her kindness and guidance; Bisi Lawal and her staff at Hoover Oaks Memory Care & Assisted Living facility for their commitment and care; and Blue Star Hospice.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Friday, April 19th, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Settegast-Kopf Funeral Home at 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas with a reception to follow.
