The Buckingham receives highest honor at event

The Buckingham senior living community recently was awarded the Greystone Diamond Award, the company’s highest award for distinctive service. The Buckingham was one of five communities nationwide to be recognized as Diamond Award recipients in Greystone’s Distinctive Service Recognition Program. This was the community’s third year in a row to be given this distinction. Greystone is one of the top senior living community developers in the nation and was part of the development team for The Buckingham.

“It is such an honor to receive this distinction from Greystone,” said Julie Fenske, executive director of The Buckingham. “We pride ourselves on the level of service we provide to our residents every day, and it is wonderful to be recognized in this way. Through training, teamwork and always looking for new ideas, we are excited to continue providing our residents the high level of service that they have come to expect from The Buckingham.”

To qualify for the Diamond Award, a community must meet stringent criteria on 10 operational benchmarks. The operational benchmarks include a resident expectation survey, employee expectation survey, first impression visits, financial ratios, hospitality culture implementation, task force participation, professional employee growth, leadership development, successful licensure and community accomplishments.

The Buckingham deserves recognition for the amazing teamwork among staff and the high level of care and hospitality they provide to the residents each and every day.”
