Jane Cox Buchanan … cherished wife, mother, grandmothe­r, sister and friend to many passed away peacefully to her Heavenly home on April 22, 2015. Jane, was a 32 year breast cancer survivor who fought valiantly and always maintained her faith. Jane was born the 12th of February, 1936 in Wewoka, OK. Jane married her devoted husband James Buchanan. They settled in Wichita, KS where they opened James Buchanan Associates working together until their retirement upon which they moved to Houston, Texas. Jane was greatly involved in her church and always graciously opened up her home for Bible studies and church gatherings. After moving to Houston, she became very involved at Second Baptist Church where she developed many wonderful friends. She was known to all as a devoted prayer warrior and always saw the best in every situation; even with terminal cancer she was always a good and faithful servant. She was a devoted mother and grandmothe­r. She is survived by her husband of 52 years James Lowell Buchanan, her two daughters Sydney (Roy) Dickie and Shana (Jeff ) Wood as well as her grandchild­ren Jordan, Chase and Samuel Dickie and Jeffrey, Elizabeth, and Connor Wood all of whom she loved and adored. Jane’s brothers Joe (Dorothy) and Johnny (Carolyn) Cox as well as many nephews and a niece survive her. Jane’s parents Mabel and Carl, as well as her brother Jimmy and sister Joann Cox precede her in death.

A celebratio­n of Jane’s life will be conducted at 2:00PM on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Hankamer Chapel at Second Baptist in Houston, TX.

A family graveside service will be conducted at 1:00PM on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Ok.

Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka, Oklahoma.
